Can I pay my state taxes using bitcoin?

, ,

As of December 2018, if you live in Ohio, you’re in luck – Ohio now allows businesses to pay their state taxes with bitcoin.  Individuals can’t pay with cryptocurrency, yet. Payments must be made online at ohiocrypto.com.  To pay with bitcoin, a business must operate  in Ohio and have a tax profile on file with the state treasurer’s office – but it doesn’t have to be headquartered in the state.
